Description
The dataset "Harmonized tree cadastre dataset for Germany from 2024 using the BaumCloud" is an edited data extract from BaumCloud, a user-friendly and open access web infrastructure that harmonizes tree cadastre datasets across Germany. It consists of datasets from 20 cities/regions namely Am Gartz (Oder), Berlin, Bonn, Chemnitz, Dresden, Dortmund, Frankfurt am Main, Gelsenkirchen, Halle (Saale), Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Krefeld, Köln, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Münster, Rostock, Troisdorf, Wesel and Würzburg. The harmonization process includes standardized naming, coordinate referencing system, metric units and csv file format. The harmonised tree cadastre provides information on the tree parameters such as genus and species, German name, tree height (m), treetop diameter (m), trunk circumference (cm), planting year and the coordinates of the individual trees. By harmonising the datasets, BaumCloud creates an opportunity for researches, planners and the public to explore, analyze and utilize tree data at national, regional and local scales.
